Caitlin Clark will strike a $28 million agreement with Nike to get her own sneaker.

Caitlin Clark, WNBA starlet, is set to sign an eight-year, $28 million contract with Nike, according to sources.

Clark, whose NCAA career at the University of Iowa propelled women's basketball to new heights, had previously signed a Nike contract as a college athlete.

That agreement, which was permitted under new restrictions allowing collegiate athletes to accept endorsement contracts, expired after the NCAA basketball season ended a few weeks ago.

Clark, who went pro as the Indiana Fever's first pick in the WNBA draft and has caught the sports world by storm

is looking forward to a considerably higher payoff from the swoosh.

Clark's alleged Nike deal would include a signature shoe line, according to The Athletic.

Clark's decision to accept what is expected to be the largest apparel contract of any WNBA player

and become one of just three with their own shoe demonstrates how much Iowa's sharpshooter has secured her place as one of the most bankable athletes in sports.
