The 49ers will win their sixth Vince Lombardi Trophy in 2025, using an NFL projection algorithm.
Seth Walder of ESPN's analytics department reported that the Football Power Index (FPI) gives San Francisco the best chance of winning Super Bowl LIX.
ESPN's Seth Walder said that Football Power Index (FPI) shows San Francisco has the best Super Bowl LIX odds.
Here are the five favorites to win it all next season, in order of highest percentage:
49ers (16%), Kansas City Chiefs (12%), Detroit Lions (10%), Dallas Cowboys (9%) and Baltimore Ravens (8%).
Of course, “Cowboys” doesn’t go with “Super Bowl winner,” so the projection system may be off. San Francisco's next season seems good, unlike the Super Bowl loser's.
“The 49ers' quality edge over the Ravens and Chiefs is narrow, but because San Francisco plays in the weaker NFC, its championship chances (16%) are significantly higher than any other club's,” Walder said.
San Francisco's 25% likelihood of reaching the Super Bowl and 16% chance of winning it are league-best.
