At the Historic Grafton School on Elm Street, electricity, plumbing, heating, air conditioning,,,

and even a new roof have been renovated in recent years, although none as unique as the scoreboard's repair.

"It's rare," said Carlisle Township Historical Society president and Historic Grafton School Inc.

board member Chris Smith. Scoreboards so ancient are rare. We decided to restore it instead of discarding it. A magnificent antique.”

The rebuilt scoreboard shows the outcome of the gym's final high school basketball game, a 74-55 Grafton Comets win against Eaton.

Wagner Signs of Elyria repainted and replaced the sign last week.

The school, bought in 2015 after being vacant for a decade, has hosted a few events, most recently,,,

the Grafton Old Fashioned Christmas, but it's set to grow busier.

Smith said theater and musical groups have enquired about organizing events, and renters are looking at classes.
