How Rihanna Became The Woman With The Most Diamond Singles

A full decade has passed since Rihanna's last studio album, but it hasn't stopped her from accomplishing remarkable things in the music industry.

Umbrella," "Needed Me," "Work," and "Stay" are four of Rihanna's smash hits that were certified diamond on Friday by the Recording Industry Association of America.

All of the singles have sold over 10 million copies, with "Stay" selling 11 million copies and earning 11x platinum certification.

Thanks to this achievement, Rihanna is now the female artist with more diamond-certified singles than any other in RIAA history.

On her third solo album, Good Girl Gone Bad, released in 2007, Rihanna had her breakthrough single "Umbrella," which featured Jay-Z.

The vocalist received her first major award—a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration—for this worldwide sensation.

It broke records as iTunes' most successful US launch in six years and premiered atop Billboard Hot Digital Songs.

At the 2007 MTV Video song Awards, the song video was named Video of the Year.
