Japanese Fruit Sandwich (Fruit Sando Recipe)

I love sandwiches. I absolutely enjoy Japanese sandwiches. They are always soft, sweet, and aesthetically beautiful.

They come in a variety of flavors, including strawberry and mixed fruit sandwiches. Fruit sandwiches are sold practically everywhere in Japan, including convenience stores, supermarket stores, and department stores.

However, with this recipe, you no longer need to travel all the way to Japan to enjoy this delicious snack! If you want to try more wonderful Japanese sandwiches, check out my Japanese egg salad sandwiches and chicken katsu curry sliders.

A Japanese fruit sandwich consists of three parts: 1) fruit, 2) whipped cream, and 3) milk bread. The fruit sandwich is refrigerated before being divided in half, revealing the nicely cut fruit in the center.

One bite into the soft and pillowy milk bread, along with the creamy and delicious filling, and you'll see why they're so famous in Japan.

You can personalize it however you wish! I personally enjoy a Japanese strawberry sandwich.

Fruits of choice: For this sandwich, I picked strawberries, oranges, and kiwis, but you can use any fruit you enjoy. Grapes, kiwis, mangoes, peaches, and bananas are all common toppings for this sandwich.

Milk Bread: For this sandwich, use Japanese milk bread or shokupan. If you don't want to make it from scratch, which I completely understand, you can get it at most Asian grocery stores.
