Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks are on their way to the NBA finals.
On Thursday night, Kyrie and Luka Doncic put on a brilliant performance, combining for 72 points.
Irving promptly found former Mavericks owner Mark Cuban after checking out in the fourth quarter of their 124-103 Game 5 victory.
The two exchanged a huge embrace, and a video of their postgame contact has gone viral on social media.
"Mark Cuban made a gamble and it paid off," one fan wrote.
"Not too many believed in Ky. Cuban was one of the few," another said.
"Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Hats off to Kyrie and Cuban," another added.
Cuban owned the Mavericks when Kyrie was moved in February 2023. Cuban's choice to sign Irving was questioned, but the billionaire took a shot at the star point guard.
