Security steps in between man, Sky's Chennedy Carter at team hotel –

A man with a camera greeted the Chicago Sky upon their arrival at their team hotel in Washington, D.C.

on Wednesday, in anticipation of Thursday's match versus the Mystics.

The individual was attempting to approach Chennedy Carter, whose Saturday's flagrant charge against Indiana Fever rookie guard Caitlin Clark has been hotly debated for days,

according to Sky general manager Jeff Pagliocca, who confirmed the incident to ESPN.

According to Pagliocca, the incident was de-escalated by the team's security personnel, and the police were not summoned.

X first uploaded a video of the incident on Wednesday night, but they later removed it.

According to Sky forward Michaela Onyenwere's X post, the man who yelled racial and sexist insults at the players was cut out of the final version of the film.

A number of other Sky players also shared their thoughts on the matter on X.
