Simone Biles wins 9th US Gymnastics championship

On Sunday, in preparation for this summer's Olympic Games in Paris,

Simone Biles won her ninth all-around title at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships.

The 27-year-old gymnast competed in four events: uneven bars, floor exercise, balance beam, and vault, and her total score was 119.750.

The gymnast, who won seven Olympic medals, stumbled once on the vault while trying to do her namesake feat, the "Biles."

Even so, she easily won first place, with her nearest rival Skye Blakely 5.900 points behind. Third place went to Kayla DiCello.

Biles has kept fighting since she withdrew from several events at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics due to emotional health issues.

"It was hard after Tokyo -- just to trust myself," she stated in a press conference after her victory.
