Steelers sign first-round OT Troy Fautanu

 The Steelers announced Monday that first-round offensive tackle Troy Fautanu signed a four-year rookie contract.  

 The Steelers selected the University of Washington offensive tackle 20th overall for the second straight year.  

 “Excited to have him as a member of this organization,” General Manager Omar Khan said in a press release.  

 We spent lots of time with him. We saw Troy at the Combine. His visit was 30. His arrival excites us.  

 “We had a high opinion of him. We wanted him there and targeted him.  

 We were on the clock at 19 waiting to see what the Rams picked, and we felt great about it. Just the player we wanted.”  

 Fautanu was awarded All-Pac-12 first team again in 2023. In 2023, he started all 15 games at left tackle,,,

 and received the Morris Trophy as the Pac-12 Conference's outstanding offensive lineman, voted on the defensive linemen.
