Stephen A. Smith Makes Opinion On Caitlin Clark Vs. Angel Reese Extremely Clear

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese's dispute resembles Larry Bird and Magic Johnson's.

On-court and off-court conflicts have involved subtle jabs between the two.

Both have shown respect for each other, yet there's a rivalry. In four college matches, Reese was 4-0 against Clark.

Clark and the Indiana Fever defeated Reese and the Chicago Sky 71-70 in their first WNBA matchup.

Reese poked Clark after the game, citing the WNBA's rising popularity. The LSU player believes she helped the league rise, despite Clark getting most of the credit.

ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith responded honestly to Reese's comments.

"I love Angel Reese and think she'll be a great player. She deserves all the praise, but it wasn't her game that garnered attention, even if she was a good player. "She waved at Caitlin Clark," Smith told X.

While Smith believes Reese has helped women's basketball expand, he admits Clark has been the major pilot.
